Road Trip was originally conceived as series of digital paintings for prints. There are four "depths of field" or layers : foreground, land, clouds and sky. Each has four versions (including blanks), so there are 4 x 4 x 4 x 4 = 256 possibilities.

The inspiration for this came after spending a few weeks travelling on the Olympic highway in rural NSW, an ever-changing landscape but often with familliar elements.
